Directors

Melissa Amonette, MD






Dr. Amonette is a is a graduate of the University of Toledo College of Medicine and the emergency medicine residency program at Mercy St Vincent Medical Center, where she served as a chief resident of the program from 2008 - 2009.  Dr Amonette is board certified in Emergency Medicine.

She serves as co-medical director for Northwest Ohio EMS agencies. 

Dr Amonette is also a member of the Jerusalem Twp Fire Department.


 


 Bill Krebs, DO



Dr. Krebs is 2012 graduate of Ohio University COM, St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center Emergency Medicine graduate in 2015, followed by EMS fellowship at The Ohio State University in 2016.  Prior to Medical School he was an EMT-B working for the University of Dayton Rescue Squad as well as an intern in the Cardiac Catheterization lab for the Kettering Network in Dayton Ohio. 


Dr. Krebs is American Board of Emergency Medicine certified, sub specialty boarded in Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Academic Faculty with St. Vincent Emergency Medicine Residency Program, and Adjunct Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University.  He is the medical director of Mercy Life Flight Network and a co-director for the NWOEMS consortium. 


In his spare time he enjoys swimming, biking, running, rock climbing, surfing, and part time flight physician with Life Flight.

 Nick Sauber, MD


Dr. Sauber is a 2014 graduate of The University of Toledo College of Medicine and a 2018 graduate of The Johns Hopkins Emergency Medicine Residency where he completed a 1-year Focused Advanced Specialty Training program in EMS, flight, and tactical medicine.  He is a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served on active duty and completed multiple deployments. 

 

Dr. Sauber’s professional interests include high threat and tactical medicine, emergency medical services medicine, simulation, mass casualty preparedness, and disaster preparedness and response.  

 

Dr. Sauber currently serves as Regional EMS Medical Director for Mercy Health and TEAMhealth Northeast Group, as well as Director of Mercy Health Emergency Medical Services Division.  He serves as and an attending physician at Mercy St. Vincent’s and Mercy St. Anne’s in Toledo and is core faculty for the St. Vincent Emergency Medicine Residency.

Stephen Zohn, MD


Dr Zohn is 2011 graduate of Ross University School of Medicine. He graduated from St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center Emergency Medicine Program in 2015. Prior to medical school Steve was a Volunteer Firefighter and EMT-B for Richfield Township FD as well as a founding member of John Carroll EMS and worked for Geauga Lake EMS in the summer. 


Dr. Zohn is an American Board of Emergency Medicine certified Emergency Medicine Physician and is currently Academic Faculty with St. Vs Emergency Medicine Program. Steve is a co-medical director for NWOEMS agencies and Mercy Health Life Flight Network. 


In his spare time he enjoys Wake-surfing, Boating, Biking, Working on cars, Landscaping, Food, and spending time with his family.
